Welcome
Welcome to the In Bruges Fansite! I've been keeping up the In Bruges Blog for a good two months now and decided it was time for a website. Here you can find everything I've posted on the blog archived (easier to look up), basic information about the film, useful links and you can be listed as a fan.

The Blog
Our Vox Location
Our location on Vox is inbrugesblog.vox.com - easy as pie. The blog is updated as completely as possible, as often as possible. The blog is connected to Colin Farrell Fansite and Ralph Fiennes Corner. Connecting the fans, one might say. Galleries and clips can be found most completely collected on the blog itself.

when in bruges The Super Budget Trip
Just watch it on the webcam! Simple as that.
when really in bruges The Real Deal
Yeah, I really do recommand the real deal. In case you are considering visiting Bruges, here are some tips if you liked the film and want to see some nice locations.
The Market Square
More than plenty of scenes were shot here. Just use your imagination and imagine a really big Christmas tree just a bit further than the statue in the middle of the square. There you go. That's the filmset.
The Jan Van Eyck Square
![]() Well, obviously since I'm based in The Netherlands, I won't be seing the film until it gets released in Belgium (you can bet your bottom dollar I will be at the premiere if anyone will show up). So I can't tell you what locations feature in what parts of the film exactly. I do know I was an extra in a scene on the Jan van Eyck Square. Yes, this is sort of a site exclusive.
Crappy phone-camera pictures of the Hall of Fame at the Luxury Hotel in Bruges! I made them myself. Look mummy - one hand!
![]() ![]() Of course being the fecking genius that I am, I had to make a choice; pretty face or autograph? It haunts me to this day. It was only just a camera phone after all. And being even more of a wit I at the time had no idea who Martin McDonagh exactly was. I know, I am a traitor, an opportunist who needs a film hit to become a fan. I'm deeply ashamed. So I have no idea if there is even a picture of him up at all. All I thought was; this is a candy shop. My two favourite actors on the same wall.
This is the hotel they were staying at;
![]() Hotel De Tuilerieën. It's right in the city centre (hence the comments about it being a two minute walk to the set), you can't miss it. Just picture christmas lights hanging in front of the windows (clever trick) and you're right back in winter 2007. This is the hotel Colin Farrell, Ralph Fiennes, Martin McDonagh and Jordan Prentice were staying at. You can walk in and have a drink at the hotel bar. I know I did plenty of times. I never ran into anyone. Not that I knew of. At the time out of the entire cast I would have only recognized Colin.
If you feel like spending money when you're there, stay in this beautiful hotel and book the one room with a private kitchen and you'll be staying in Colin Farrell's room. The hotel also has a chocolate fountain. That's right. A cholocate fountain.
Last but not least; the swimming pool. The story about Ralph and the swimming pool and the girls - it's crap. It's bigger bullshit than actual bull's shit. Here's a picture of the pool for the stubborn pervs (not me... right?)
