Welcome
Welcome to the In Bruges Fansite! I've been keeping up the In Bruges Blog for a good two months now and decided it was time for a website. Here you can find everything I've posted on the blog archived (easier to look up), basic information about the film, useful links and you can be listed as a fan.

Support
Join The Fanlisting!
If you liked the film, if you loved the film, if you're looking foreward to the film, if you think Martin McDonagh is a genius, if you're a big fan of Brendan Gleeson, if you adore Ralph Fiennes, if you're crazy about Colin Farrell, if you want to show support; join the f*cking fanlisting. Focus Features and other distributors are aware of this fansite, so every name makes a statement!

The Blog
Our Vox Location
Our location on Vox is inbrugesblog.vox.com - easy as pie. The blog is updated as completely as possible, as often as possible. The blog is connected to Colin Farrell Fansite and Ralph Fiennes Corner. Connecting the fans, one might say. Galleries and clips can be found most completely collected on the blog itself.

About The Site
Website Facts

This Fansite is an extension of the In Bruges Blog on Vox. I started it in January just before the film was first played on the Sundance Film Festival. This is a non profit website.

Website Policy

This website will be as updated and complete as possible. Due to the large flow of reviews, however, I have become somewhat selective. A random person posting a review on their diary blog with many hormonal outburst-inspired opinions and a typing style that reminds you of tHiS kInD oF bUlLsHiT will not make it onto the blog. Also I don't do negative reviews. As Martin McDonagh joked (but I'm serious) - the good ones are usually accurate.

about me
Who, where, why and what the f*ck?

My enthusiasm for In Bruges started when I was on the set in February/March 2007. I was an extra (but from what I hear I actually got cut out, how ironic) and super curious bystander. I had no idea what was going on (never been on a filmset) and had no idea what the result would be like. The more I saw of this film as time passed, the more excited I got about it. Colin Farrell Fansite knows me as Nell, Ralph Fiennes Corner knows me as Julia - you can call me whatever you like. My current location is The Netherlands, and though I may sometimes move my restless arse around to other countries, this is where I am based. You can consider me a dual-nationality victim; if you are Dutch or Flemish just contact me in your native language, if you are English do the same. I understand and speak both languages completely equally and native. I study history at the university, but I'm not really into intellectualism so this site is the perfect excuse to avoid studying. This may explain delays in updating. I try, though.

Thanks to...

Mary and Deb from Colin Farrell Fansite, Anda and Chelly from Ralph Fiennes Corner, the Focus Features office in London, the Universal Pictures office in The Netherlands, all the lovely and enthusiastic Belgian fans of the film who have emailed me, and to Minorityy and Loner2 at CFF. Many thanks to Bart Vanmaele for contacting me about the widening release, much credit to Nad from Bruges for staying on top of the Bruges premiere.

And to my flatmate Natasja for putting up with my fanatic behaviour. Thanks to my cat Nero for crawling onto my lap when I write my blogs. Yes, that is very important.

Rights

All rights of the posted articles and reviews belong to their authors mentioned. All pictures, clips and other official footage and information comes from Focus Features and Universal Pictures The Netherlands, who hold all rights to it. I am not the legal owner of any of it, I am simply the messenger. Contact them for further information. I am in no way connected to Martin McDonagh, Colin Farrell, Ralph Fiennes or Brendan Gleeson (I wish!) - or any of the producers of the film. I am not an employee of Focus Features or any other distributor. Therefore I do not represent any of the people or organizations named above.

harry-smashing-the-phone action figure
If you caught yourself thinking 'what the hell?'

If you haven't been reading the blog from very early on, you probably have no idea what that bit is all about. This site lobbies for a Harry-smashing-the-phone action figure - for no particular or useful reason. Fans seem to think it's a good idea - you know, when your days in the office are long, you get your action figure out and make Harry smash the phone. It's the perfect merchandising. We're waiting.
